Precision Machine Shop

Position: Permanent Nights
Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 6 PM to 6 AM

About Us:
My client is a leading precision machine shop specialising in high-quality, large-scale components. We pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence and innovation, and we are looking for skilled CNC Miller Program/Setter/Operators to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines (Correa, Anyak, or Mitsubishi) to machine large one-off parts up to 10 tons in weight.
  • Download programs from our CAD/CAM system or write programs from engineering drawings.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy in machining.
  • Utilize measuring equipment to verify dimensions and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the workshop environment.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Miller, preferably with Heidenhain controls.
  • Proficiency in programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Familiarity with relevant measuring equipment and quality control processes.
  • A crane license is advantageous but not required.
