Our client is seeking a highly organised and proactive Sales & Logistics Administrator to manage the logistics of inbound and outbound shipments across the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, schedule, and monitor inbound and outbound shipments across various international transportation modes, including air, sea, and road.
  • Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and customers to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Ensure shipments are delivered on time.
  • Manage end-to-end order processing.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to address order-related inquiries or issues.
  • Maintain and update order records in the system.
  • Prepare and manage shipping documents, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs declarations.
  • Prepare export documentation and manage international courier bookings.
  • Ensure compliance with UK and international shipping laws, including Brexit-related requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of all freight transactions.
  • Act as the point of contact for customers and internal teams regarding freight & order queries.
  • Proactively communicate order acknowledgements, shipment statuses and resolve delivery issues.
  • Build strong relationships with customers (internally & externally) to ensure high service standards.
  • Address issues such as delays, damages, or misrouted goods promptly.
  • Produce regular performance reports and recommend process improvements.
  • Analyse freight data to identify trends and opportunities for cost efficiency.

Person Specifications:

  • Previous experience in logistics, freight coordination, or transport planning (1+ years preferred).
  • Strong understanding of UK import/export procedures and customs processes, particularly post-Brexit.
  • A team player with a keen attention to detail and a strong customer service focus.
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management abilities, able to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook) and logistics systems, such as ERP platforms.
