We are looking for a Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Engineer for a permanent position in Brierley Hill. You will play a key part in ensuring the reliability of machinery, conducting inspections, troubleshooting faults, and maintaining pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience as a Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Engineer

  • Experience working in a heavy engineering environment

  • Solid experience with hydraulics or pneumatics

  • Any electrical skills are a bonus

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Fit and able to work in a physically demanding position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance

  • Conduct inspections and diagnose faults in machinery and equipment

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance

  • Repair or replace hydraulic and pneumatic components

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints

  • Work closely with engineering teams to execute complex maintenance tasks

  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations

  • Carry out welding and fabrication work when required
