Insurance Team Leader - West Midlands £Up to £45,000 + Bonus/Benefits. *Team Leaders from company market or broking backgrounds *A specialist Insurance Company are looking for an Underwriting Team Leader to join their established and growing team in the Midlands, not far from Birmingham City Centre. This is a unique opportunity where you will have the best of both worlds from supervising the team whilst also overseeing the portfolio to deliver the company’s strategy and performance. The key area for this position will be managing the Underwriting team where they write several products across commercial lines, so we are ideally looking for someone that has previous experience of supervising a team and with insurance experience. The underwriting team is split into two so you will be managing a team of 10 underwriters with a vast amount of experience. You will not need to have the technical underwriting knowledge as the team have Seniors that are able to deal with the complex referrals.One of the main responsibilities in this role will be using your management skills to lead, motivate and drive the performance of individuals to work as a highly performing team. You will be leading by example so we are really looking for someone that enjoys managing a team and takes pride in developing not only the individuals within the team but the overall business objectives. You will take part in monthly 1-2-1's as well as holding relevant training to the team. You will also be responsible in building relationships with several key stakeholders both internally and externallu. In return, you will receive a competitive base salary plus company bonus & benefits package.
