We are looking for an Extrusion Engineer to join our client's business in Brierley Hill.

Working alongside the Extrusion Lead & Technical Manager, this position offers exceptional opportunities for career development within a fast growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and test extrusion machinery and ancillary systems.
  • Configure and test complete extrusion lines, including dies, calibrators, baths, pullers, cutters, winders, and other equipment.
  • Operate machinery to meet agreed specifications during Site and Factory Acceptance Tests.
  • Provide technical support and address service inquiries related to extrusion equipment.
  • Engage directly with customers to resolve test and service-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records for all testing and service activities.
  • Travel both domestically and internationally to support projects as required.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Aftermarket teams to deliver exceptional customer service.

The Key requirements & Skills:

  • Proven experience with capital equipment in the extrusion industry.
  • Strong understanding of extrusion processes and hands-on expertise with extrusion machinery.
  • Practical knowledge of plastic processing.
  • Proficiency in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a keen eye for fault diagnosis.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and within a small, dedicated team.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with relevant software tools.

Our client is open to candidates with some experience in this field but looking for training and development further.
