We are recruiting for a leading Steel Stockholding company in Dudley for a Plasma machinist.
Job Role
- To read, understand and correctly complete programme sheets.
- To handle, transport and store component parts as per training and instruction.
- To maintain work equipment and a safe and well organised workstation.
- To complete daily safety checks to ensure machine and work equipment is in good working order.
- Assist in WorkCentre housekeeping and any 5s activities Requirements
- Proven experience as CNC Plasma operator
- Skill in operating CNC plasma machines and understanding of consumables as well as basic measurement tools
- Ability to read and interpret engineering documents and drawings
Experience/Requirements
- Previous working experience in engineering/sheet metal environment is essential
- Good communication skills liaising with other departments.
- Comfortable with manual handling and can adhere to health & Safety regulations
- Ability to work on other machinist around the Shopfloor
The Package
- 10 week temporary to permanent contract.
- Rotating shifts
- Pay rate starting between 12 - 13
