A fantastic role has become available for a very reputable business within the west midlands area for a purchasing clerk. The successful person will have purchasing experience and will have knowledge within the rental/hire sector.

Job role:

  • Handle order requests from depots and departments when needed
  • Assist workshops with identifying and outsourcing parts when required
  • Build better records on system with pics and parts to help identify for all users
  • Place orders with suppliers as required
  • Chase orders with suppliers on daily or weekly basis
  • Stock control for depots and central stores
  • Organise central stores and central stocks at midlands to be held and correct values
  • Evaluate stock needs for depot stocking or central control
  • Liaise with suppliers to get best prices for stock items
  • Update computer system with codes and costs to enable accurate records and control
  • Update computer system with suppliers’ details and values
  • Project work for major purchases of plant and vehicles
  • Check invoices and confirm against system before digital save to cloud with nom codes for sage input
  • Supplier invoice queries
  • Arrange relationship with couriers to enable central distribution of central stored products and from depots
