Financial Controller – Brigg – c£60,000We are keen to speak to experienced, proactive and driven Financial Controllers, who are looking for an exciting opportunity to develop a career with a well-respected business in North Lincolnshire. We are pleased to be recruiting for our exceptional, fast growing SME client, where you will become part of an ambitious, enthusiastic, and passionate team. Reporting into the Head of Finance and playing an integral role in the business success as part of the Senior Leadership Team. You will lead the Accounting function, manage financial controls, drive change through development of processes, reporting and systems, building effective relationships to help deliver meaning information to enable informed business decisions and strategy. Financial Controller responsibilities will include:
  • As a key member of the Senior Leadership team, help drive financial and business performance
  • Management of monthly accounts pack production, MI reporting and balance sheet control
  • Cash control, ensuring appropriate cashflow control and advising management on actions to ensure strong liquidity
  • Overseeing all Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger activities, managing and developing a small team
  • Working with credit insurers, manage terms, overdue debt and exposure risks
  • Financial governance lead, ensure appropriate records and controls
  • Advise and support management decision making on all relevant Financial matters, including reporting on and managing costs and deputising for the Head of Finance
  • Overall responsibility for budgets and forecasting
  • Lead cost control & reporting across all areas of the business
  • Key contact for external stakeholders such as HMRC, banks, insurers, energy and auditors
  • Manage annual accounts and audits process
  • Lead and support compliance, process & efficiency improvement projects

The ideal candidate:
  • CIMA, ACCA or ACA Qualified
  • Strong IT Literacy and ideally experience developing systems or reporting
  • Experience working in a senior finance role, ideally within a manufacturing environment
  • Driven and passionate to get involved in the wider business
