GSL Education are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in schools across Brigg, providing essential classroom support to help students reach their full potential.

As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with teachers to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment. You will assist students in the classroom, provide one-to-one or small group support, and help them stay engaged with their studies. This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic, patient, and committed to helping students succeed.

Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging lessons and provide extra classroom support.
  • Provide one-on-one or small-group assistance to help students with their learning.
  • Foster student engagement and boost confidence in the classroom.
  • Contribute to creating a positive and well-structured learning environment.
  • Support students in key subjects such as literacy and numeracy.
  • Assist in managing behaviour and promoting student well-being.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure every student receives the support they need.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable.
  • A CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance is beneficial but not essential.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to support students effectively.
  • A patient, adaptable, and positive approach to working with children.
  • An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
