Our client based in Brighouse are looking for an experienced Machine Setter / Operator to join their team immediately.
- Location - Brighouse HD6
- Hourly Rate - £17.00 per hour
- Hours of Work - Rota system , 12 hour shifts (6.30am-14.00pm / 14.00pm-21.30pm / 21.30pm-06.30am)
- Start Date - Immediate
The Role
To provide specific roll wrapping process knowledge for all roll wrapping machines and associated processes, whilst being part of the manufacturing team responsible for delivering the annual rollwrap demand, in line with our customer expectations.
This will be in a stand-alone manufacturing facility, with the Setter operator being responsible for machine set up and running repairs for all rollwrap associated processes and providing specific technical capabilities to the business around rollwrap capabilities.
In addition all staff that form part of the autonomous manufacturing team will be required to demonstrate a high level of flexibility with their working schedule, flexing between working less than a standard full week to working longer than a standard full week. This also applies to the shift patterns required, working a mixture of single, double and three shift working patterns with reasonable short notice.
Main Duties
- Set up mechanical drives on all conversion machinery to highly exacting quality criteria, overcoming machine variation and product variation requirements
- Ensure that the various conversion machines are regularly maintained
- Annually fully refurbish all Rewinder machinery and associated equipment.
Essential Experience
- Experience setting and operating electro-mechanical high speed machinery (on the job training given).
- Demonstrated sound mechanical aptitude, both in knowledge and physical ability (competent use of hand tools, power tools, overhauling high-speed mechanical drive systems, etc.).
Type of Experience
- Working under no / minimum supervision.
- Proven experience of working to strict KPIs/Metrics
