Job Title: Lead Senior Quantity Surveyor
About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lead Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established construction company operating in Yorkshire. This role offers the chance to take the lead on a range of high-value construction projects, ensuring commercial success through effective cost management, contract administration, and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of quantity surveying for multiple construction projects, from inception to completion.
Lead and mentor a team of Quantity Surveyors, ensuring best practices and professional development.
Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures to optimize financial performance.
Negotiate contracts and procurement strategies with suppliers and subcontractors.
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
Prepare and present detailed financial reports to senior management.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry regulations.
Work collaboratively with project teams, stakeholders, and clients to drive project success.
Requirements:
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Extensive experience in quantity surveying within the construction sector.
Proven track record of leading commercial teams and managing high-value projects.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts (JCT/NEC).
Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in cost management software and MS Office Suite.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
Full UK driving license required.
