About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lead Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established construction company operating in Yorkshire. This role offers the chance to take the lead on a range of high-value construction projects, ensuring commercial success through effective cost management, contract administration, and risk mitigation.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of quantity surveying for multiple construction projects, from inception to completion.

  • Lead and mentor a team of Quantity Surveyors, ensuring best practices and professional development.

  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures to optimize financial performance.

  • Negotiate contracts and procurement strategies with suppliers and subcontractors.

  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.

  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports to senior management.

  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry regulations.

  • Work collaboratively with project teams, stakeholders, and clients to drive project success.



Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Extensive experience in quantity surveying within the construction sector.

  • Proven track record of leading commercial teams and managing high-value projects.

  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts (JCT/NEC).

  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient in cost management software and MS Office Suite.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Full UK driving license required.
