From next term, a Brighouse Primary school is looking for a learning support assistant to work 1:1 with a boy in Year 4 with additional needs and working on the Year 2 curriculum (except for Maths which he is working at Year 4 level on).

Day to day for this learning support assistant role:

  • Supporting child with learning
  • Nurturing activities
  • Emotional and social support
  • Interventions

As a learning support assistant, you will show strong pastoral and emotional support for your pupil, as well as being vigilant to their cues and needs which will mean able to think on the spot and being flexible with his timetable. The pupil will require some emotional support.
