I’m supporting a fantastic business based in Brighouse looking for a Finance Manager to join their team as soon as possible on a 6-month interim basis. There is potential the role could be slightly extended also.

This opportunity is based in Brighouse and is full time on site but the client flexible with working hours and do also have an early finish on Fridays.

This vacancy is term time only.

Responsibilities as a Head of Finance:

  • Daily postings of standing orders/direct debits.
  • Inputting of all bank payments and receipts.
  • Reconciliation of bank statements weekly.
  • Setting up of new direct debits and standing orders.
  • Posting, verifying and reconciliation of Corporate Charge Card expenditure
  • Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts.
  • Creating new nominal codes
  • Entering budgets at start of Financial Year.
  • Raise invoices for staff purchases.
  • Allocate cash deducted from salaries to sales account.
  • Routine credit control to ensure payment of fees within agreed credit terms.
  • Monthly reconciliation of sales ledger.
  • Advise Senior Management on investment and financial policy, preparing appraisals for projects and for the development of a business plan (long term financial strategy) for the future development of the business.
  • To use financial management information, especially bench marking tools, to identify areas of relative spend, assess trends and directly advise the Senior Leadership Team accordingly.
  • Responsible for the management of the business accounting, ensuring its efficient operation according to agreed procedures and to maintain those procedures by conducting at least an annual review.

Requirements of the role:

  • Previously worked as a Finance Manager with strong transferable skills/experience.
  • Able to work autonomously and hit the ground running.
  • Available at short notice.
