- Qualifications: Fully GMC registered with MBBS (or equivalent) qualification, registered on the specialist register (CCT/CESR), Section 12, and AC Status.
- Experience: Extensive experience and knowledge in adult psychiatry and mental health diagnosis, with a strong understanding of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice.

- Collaborative Teamwork: Work as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to assess, treat, and stabilise service users.
- Treatment Planning: Take overall responsibility for patient treatment plans, working closely with the MDT.
- Clinical Assessments & Diagnosis: Assess referrals, conduct mental state examinations, and undertake appropriate investigations, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Risk Management & Governance: Lead the implementation of risk assessments and management strategies while ensuring clinical governance standards are maintained.
- Ward Rounds & Audits: Participate in ward rounds and clinical audits to review the quality of care and outcomes.
- Mental Health Act Oversight: Supervise reports for Mental Health Act tribunals, attend hearings, and ensure compliance with legislation.
- On-Call Duty: Participate in a telephone on-call rota.
