Technical Administrator (Retail)

We have a requirement for a Technical Administrator to join our client based in Brighouse, West Yorkshire on an initial 4-month contract, with the view to permanent after the initial contract period. My client is a successful design company, who specialise in creating bespoke products for major high street retailers. The role of the Technical Administrator will require the collecting, collating, and inputting of technical specifications on paper based and gift products.

Details:

  • Technical Administrator
  • 140/day - 150/day
  • 4 months (initial contract with the look to go permanent)
  • Part-time (3 days per week initially)
  • Hybrid Remote (1 day in the office per week)

Responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely daily with the Production Team
  • To regularly liaise with our offshore suppliers to ensure manufacturing or production processes meet required quality standards
  • To manage both internal QC warehouse checks/ raised nonconformities and suppliers' pre-shipment inspections
  • To liaise with customer technical staff to provide technical information as required
  • To manage customer additional technical projects and work to these deadlines
  • To support the Production Team to ensure that all technical administration is kept up to date and stored correctly on inhouse systems
  • To work with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from suppliers
  • To review product safety and arrange 3rd party testing as required
  • To collate packaging data for the Company Packaging Data return

Skills and experience:

  • Highly organised with a methodical and focused work attitude and great attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with people quickly and effectively.
  • Ability to work to deadlines as part of a team and as an individual
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience with retailers' technical systems
  • Knowledge or experience of the retail and manufacturing sectors would be advantageous.
