Mechanical Fitter / Assembly Shop Fitter
Sayjo Recruitment Ltd are acting on behalf of a client to recruit a new permanent member of staff to join their team
Job Role: To build & test valves/actuators & instruments
Principal Duties:
- Assembly of instruments including pipe bending and fitting
- Calibrating various instruments
- Build and test actuators
- Coupling valve and actuator
- Check valve kit released against paperwork supplied
- Deburr valve body and clean all components pre assembly
- Assemble valve including pinning and drilling plug/stem
- Torque body bonnet bolting in accordance with engineering’s torque figures
- Coupling valve and actuator
- Build and test actuators
- Strip and rework valves which have failed test
Other Duties:
- Prepare actuators for paint
- Completion of NCN’s if there is a problem
- Generating name plates
- FAT witness as required by the customer
- Forklift Truck driving – if licensed
- Assist with testing of valves
- Assist with Spares assembly work
- Involvement in events/training
Skills and Experience:
- Slinging and lifting
- Manual handling
- Good communicator
- Responsible attitude towards Health and Safety
Qualifications:
Time served apprentice
Additional Info:
Hours of work are Monday – Thursday 07:30 – 16:00 (30-minute lunch) and Friday 07:30 – 12:30.
Salary £29,280 (15.22ph / 37hr week)
Overtime paid on top, when required
25 days holiday per year plus stats
