Dawsongroup emcis the UKs leading supplier of self-drive municipal, industrial, and specialist vehicles for contract hire. Due to continued growth, we are now seeking a Workshop Engineer/Technician to join the team here at Brighouse.
Position Overview:
The Workshop Engineer will be responsible for the servicing and repair of Dawsongroup environmental municipal civil Limiteds (DGEMC) hire fleet equipment.
As the Workshop Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Fault diagnosis, repair and routine maintenance of sweepers and other company equipment
- Examining sweepers and other company equipment
- Carrying out vehicle inspections and MOT checks, delivering vehicles to MOT test stations
- Assisting the rental operations department, ensuring weekly stock checks of all hire fleet assets not on rent
The successful Workshop Engineer will hold:
- HGV mechanical experience (ideally)
- Experience dealing with hydraulic systems
- Basic electrics knowledge
