Finance Assistant - Brighouse

I’m supporting a fantastic client based in West Yorkshire looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join their Finance Team on an interim 3 - 6-month basis.
This opportunity is based in Brighouse and is full time on site but the client flexible with working hours and do also have an early finish on Fridays.
Successful candidates must ideally have 2 years + experience as a Finance Administrator/Finance Assistant and be able to hit the ground running with the role. There is a very strong chance that the position could go permanent for the right candidate.
This vacancy is term time only.
Responsibilities as a Finance Assistant:
- Ensure adequate cash available for day-to-day requirements.
- Issuing cash requests forms to staff.
- Receiving cash from staff.
- Checking verification of cash request forms.
- Processing cash/return forms on Sage.
- Weekly balancing of petty cash.
- Reconciliation of suppliers’ statements and dealing with queries.
- Monthly reconciliation of purchase ledger.
- Processing staff mileage and making payments by cash and bank transfer.
- Processing Staff expenses claims using pre-paid debit card system.
- Ordering school branded clothing for staff.
- When required, administration support for the Payroll Manager.
Requirements of the role:
- Previous experience as a Finance Administrator/Assistant.
- Strong transferable skills/experience to the role.
- Available at short notice.
