Infrastructure Engineer

Our client is looking for a Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join their team in Hove. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and challenging design environment and to build on your portfolio submission to Chartership. The consultancy has an established training culture and operates under a structure of coaching, mentoring and collaboration. The consultancy has a varied project portfolio that extends across the Residential, Commercial, Public, Industrial and Marine sectors. The office is based just a few minutes from Hove seafront and 10 minutes from the Centre of Brighton with excellent transport links around the city.

Responsibilities of the role:

路Undertaking Technical and Feasibility strategies and studies, FRA's, report writing, drawing up plans and details
路Developing Detailed Designs from concept to construction to comply with relevant regulations, best practices and guidance
路Developing SuDS designs to mitigate flood risk and water quality issues
路Assessing the sustainability and environmental impact of projects
路Coordinating site investigations and analysing data
路Managing resources efficiently to meet deadlines
路Liaising effectively with architects, contractors, consultants, statutory authorities, co-workers and clients
路Developing others including our Trainee Engineers/Technicians & Graduates

Requirements of the role:

路BEng/MEng in Construction/Civil Engineering (preferably)
路Detailed experience using Microdrainage and or Civils 3D carrying a distinct advantage.
路Excellent communication skills
路Sound technical knowledge
路Prepare sketches, technical reports and specifications
路Ability to maintain client contact to inform of progress, issues and problems
路Competent use of Microsoft Word & Excel
路Detailed understanding and use of Analytical/Design and CAD software
路Ability to think creatively to resolve design and development problems
