We are partnering with a highly respected and well-established Accountancy firm that is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join their modern and progressive office in Brighton & Hove. Our client is looking for a Payroll Administrator to provide a fast and effective service to their clients, handling payroll and records, using software like myePayWindow, managing SMP & SSP, producing P45s and much more. If this sounds like you, here's what you need:

  • Previous experience working in a Payroll function is essential
  • Data Entry experience
  • Competency with Excel and confidence with IT systems / software
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs A - C, including Mathematics and English
  • Excellent numerical and record-keeping skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Problem solver and multi tasker
  • Honest, reliable and trustworthy
  • Ability to manage payroll processes and calculations.
  • Experience with statutory payments and pension scheme management.

A day in this role will involve:

  • Reporting to Payroll Manager.
  • Handle end-to-end payroll processing accurately and on time.
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive payroll records.
  • Calculate partial-month payments and holiday entitlements.
  • Administer statutory payments efficiently.
  • Process P45 forms.
  • Communicate with clients to clarify and resolve payroll calculations when needed.
  • Manage client pension schemes, including setup and monthly uploads across multiple providers.
  • Using Sage, STAR, and other software packages.
