Assistant / Intermediate Quantity Surveyor required for an excellent opportunity in Brighton. 44 - 50k plus flexible package.
Our client is a specialist contractor who specialise in construction and carpentry projectsup to 10macross the South East of England working for private clients, Commercial clients and Local Authorities.
Due to growth our client is looking to employ an Assistant / Intermediate QS to work alongside one of their Senior Quantity Surveyors and add strength to the Commercial Team.
Main responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Senior Surveyor in securing new work
- Following up tender enquiries including pricing, preparation and negotiation of new contracts
- Assisting in setting up contract terms with new clients
- Organising, planning and undertaking site surveys
- Interpreting specification and measuring from drawings
- Ensure monthly processing deadlines are met as required
- Providing administrative support to the team
- Assisting theContracts Managers with booking in and site visits where required.
Knowledge and skill set required:
- Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with customers and external contacts.
- Good organisational skills and ability to work to, and sometimes implement own processes
- Eque 2 Knowledge ideal but not essential
- Capacity to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Motivated, pro-active and enthusiastic
- Works co-operatively and productively with others, to achieve results
