Children Residential Support Worker role:
* Ensuring that a caring and stimulating environment is provided, which takes into account individual developmental needs and enables the young people to reach their potential.
* Planning and preparing activities that meet their needs and stimulates learning and integration.
* Develop a functional approach in young people who are likely to have been rejected or have serious issues in coming to terms with their behaviour.
* Support the young people to have equal opportunities to develop their independence & social skills in preparation for adult life.
* Ensuring placement plans are followed, policies, procedures, risk assessments and rotas are in place and education is supported.
* Dealing with challenging behaviour (verbally abusive, possibly threatening behaviour).

Your skills:
* Hold a Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People.
* At least 1 year of UK experience in a similar role.
* Strong understanding of the needs and rights of children and young people in care.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work flexibly, including sleep-in shifts as part of the role.
