Maintenance Caretaker, Temporary, SE15
Ongoing, £14ph-£16ph depending on experience, 35 hours a week
Immediate start for a hardworking Maintenance Operative/Caretaker to ensure a safe and secure environment for residents, staff and visitors at this busy student accommodation.
Duties will include:
- Undertake daily inspections of premises (lighting, heating, fire alarms)
- Ensure adoption and compliance with all health and safety codes of practice.
- Carry out general reactive and preventative maintenance tasks involving plumbing, carpentry, painting & decorating
- Monitor CCTV system and maintain effective key register/key issue control.
- Site patrols to ensure a clean, safe and secure environment
- Undertake cleaning duties of communal areas and grounds including sweeping, mopping and vacuuming
- Deep clean ground floor windows, doors & external surfaces and ensure bin stores are tidy collected on time.
- Assist in the monitoring and managing of supplies and equipment.
- Work on a rota that will include weekends at times.
Requirements
- Proven Maintenance/Handyman/Caretaker experience.
- Proven skills in plumbing, carpentry, painting and decorating.
- Familiarity with CCTV software.
- Familiarity with key card systems.
- SIA accreditation.
- Experience of security, portering and mail handling.
- Experience of understanding handling of cleaning products
- Good customer service skills
- Ability to work well in a team or
- Reliable and able to solve problems
