I've just registered a fantastic opportunity for a Corporate Tax Senior, to progress with a growing practice based in Brighton. If you are an enthusiastic and ambitious individual that is keen to make a difference within an all inclusive environment, this is the perfect role for you.

Key responsibilities:

Confidently assisting with the delivery of corporation tax compliance -

  • Preparation of tax accounting disclosures and corporation tax computations for submission to HMRC for complex clients (e.g. corporate groups, P.E backed businesses, large OMBs),
  • Reviewing compliance work drafted by junior colleagues on simpler clients,
  • Awareness of contentious tax issues, managing risk and advising clients appropriately,
  • Quarterly Instalment Payment Calculations,
  • Preparation and assistance with various advisory projects,
  • Detailed capital allowances reviews,
  • R&D claims,
  • Group restructures,
  • Corporation tax due diligence and supporting mergers or acquisitions.
  • Training and mentoring junior colleagues,
  • Developing relationships with the other tax teams and the wider firm, commercial and trusting relationships with clients.

Required experience, skills and behaviours:

  • Friendly and approachable,
  • Confident corresponding with clients and HMRC,
  • ACA / ACCA / AAT / CTA qualified,
  • 2+ years experience in corporation tax (Experience in accounting also considered. Experience in advisory preferable).
