Financial Controller

The work you do here is important and impactful and our client is proud of being the best as what they do. Their ideal candidate will be:

• A recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• In-depth technical expertise in financial accounting (UK GAAP, IFRS).
• Proven experience in leading and managing a finance team.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management systems.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in media agencies is advantageous.
• Digital publishing is advantageous.
• Higher Education experience is advantageous.

No two days working here will be the same, but generally as a Financial Controller you can expect to be responsible for:

• Advancing the creation and enforcement of financial controls, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborating with the Finance Business Partner to enhance financial visibility throughout the organisation.
• Supervising the generation of precise and punctual financial reports.
• Evaluating financial data to derive insights on business performance.
• Overseeing budget management and forecast processes.
• Managing both internal and external audit activities.
• Advising on tax and regulatory adherence.
• Cultivating and maintaining strategic relationships with critical stakeholders, such as financial institutions, investors, and regulatory authorities.

Job Title: Financial Controller (Maternity Cover)
