Robertson Bell are supporting a unique organisation based in Brighton to recruit an Internal Auditor on a permanent basis.

This is a hybrid role that will require the successful candidate in the office six days over the course of a calendar month.

Joining a tight-knit team at an early stage of development, this role comes with plenty of opportunity to impact the growth and direction of the audit function as it matures.  

The Internal Auditor will be responsible for;

  • Conducting risk-based audits across different functional areas of the organisation, providing assurance, managing risks and ensuring procedures are followed.
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders across the business, including senior management, to promote the value of the internal audit function and work in partnership to develop assurance and control frameworks.
  • Support the implementation and embedding of new audit management software to improve efficiency and collaboration.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A background in internal audit, ideally within the public sector.
  • A CCAB, CIMA or Audit qualification.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively manage senior stakeholders.
  • A collaborative approach to work, while being proactive and improvement focussed.
