What the role will involve
Responsibilities will include the following:
- Programme cost accounting and control
- Analysing financial performance of the IPT and communicating results to key internal stakeholders
- Providing project accounting and analysis of IPT financial performance including EVM if required
- Performing revenue accounting and analysis
- Performing financial planning, budgeting and forecasting based on the inputs from IPT
- Providing financial actuals to feed into IPT planning activities and providing input to pricing of IPT's products and services
- Analysis of cost saving opportunities and creating financial scenarios to support Work Package Leads and IPT Leader in making cost management decisions
- Providing financial scenarios to IPT Planning & Control and IPT Leader to aide decision making
- Creating financial performance metrics in accordance with defined governance and IPT requirements
- Confirming payments have been received into the organisation
- Creating cost and pricing models to support generation of priced proposal/quotes in response to customer RFP/RFQ
- Managing programme finances within company business systems, including bid costs and sales forecast data
What you’ll bring
The role of Project Accountant requires the following experience and skills:
- Previous experience in a Project Finance role
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting and reporting
- EAC/ETC experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
