Description
- Maintain financial records and ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors to handle any financial irregularities that occur.
- Prepare tax returns and ensure that taxes are paid properly and on time.
- Evaluate financial operations to recommend best-practices, identify issues and strategise solutions, and help organisations run efficiently.
- Offer guidance on cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and profit maximisation.
- Stay updated with industry trends and changes related to laws and regulations.
- Lead and direct the work of others in the department.
Profile
A successful 'Senior Accountant' should have:
- Qualified or part qualified (ACA, ACCA, etc).
- A solid understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially in Excel, and knowledge of relevant accounting software.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to handle complex numerical data.
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
