Tony Alan Recruitment currently has an exciting job opportunity for a Temporary Accountant to join a well-known business in the Falmer, Brighton area on a part time temporary on-going basis.
Your duties will include:
- Assist in the preparation and production of the monthly management accounts
- Posting monthly journals
- Oversee both weekly and monthly payroll, signing off pre-update reports, providing support and cover when needed
- Setting up payments for NI, tax and pension contributions
- Carry out monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and fixed asset depreciation schedules
- Oversee reconciliations of Daily Banking Sheets (DBSs), credit cards, prepayment cards, PayPal accounts, debtor ledgers and creditor ledgers
- Check and queue purchase orders for payment in a timely manner, ensuring all invoices and receipts have been submitted correctly
Key requirements:
- Experience of working in a similar role especially with payroll
- Experience of using standard office software such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Experience of managing staff
- You must be immediately available or on a short notice period
