Location: Brighton & Hove
Salary: 13.93 per hour
Contract: 3-month contract
Hours: 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Work Arrangements: Hybrid working available

Job Purpose:
We are looking for a Drugs and Alcohol Project Coordinator to provide crucial project coordination and administrative support for the Reducing Harms from Drugs and Alcohol Programme. The role will involve developing, delivering, monitoring, and evaluating local drug and alcohol strategies and related projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the administration and coordination of the programme and local action plans for the national drugs strategy.
  • Organise and manage multi-agency partnership meetings, including agenda setting, minute-taking, and maintaining action logs.
  • Collaborate with communications teams to ensure relevant information is shared via online channels.
  • Support public health projects, including data analysis, event organisation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Manage budgets and handle payments and invoices.
  • Ensure compliance with equality and inclusion policies.

You Will Need:

  • Experience organising workshops, training, or events.
  • Experience working within public health, local or national government in a project management or senior administration role.
  • Experience taking minutes in large, multi-agency meetings.
  • Ability to work under pressure during periods of change.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Accurate and efficient minute-taking skills.
  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Word and various software packages.
