We have an exciting opportunity for a HGV Mechanic to join our client's Workshop Team and contribute to the repair and maintenance of our clients diverse fleet in accordance with relevant legislation, manufacturer's instructions and maintenance schedules. Job role: HGV MechanicPay: £19 p/h (PAYE)Start date: ASAPHours: Monday to Fridays 09.00-18.00Duration: 3 months - view to go permanent.Location: Brighton & HoveJob Description:We are looking for a Level 3 qualified mechanic, who is willing to learn about new technologies with background in a busy workshop environment. Chance to add different skillsets due to the diversity of the fleet in house or with other providers.* To maintain, service and inspect a fleet, including HGV, non HGV and specialist vehicles, Heavy and light plant (including MOT programme) in accordance with legislation, manufacturer's recommendations and with 'O' licence requirements.* To work with advanced electronic diagnostic systems, interpret technical data and apply knowledge in order to carry out complex diagnosis, and repair faults in a timely manner.* To ensure all paperwork, as required by legislation, and associated with repairs and potential insurance claims are completed compliantly and correctly signed off.* To ensure that drivers reporting faults have carried out the appropriate paperwork and procedures.* To undergo the necessary manufacturer's training on vehicles and equipment and training on legislative and technical changes, in order to keep up to date with fast moving technologies and legislation.* To maintain accurate records in order to produce records regarding vehicle and machinery repairs, as requested.* To carry out all work independently ensuring a quality of service is maintained so that all vehicles are maintained to the highest standards to comply with health and safety requirements.* To keep the workshop and store clean and tidy and to undertake cleaning tasks as required.If you meet the above requirements and experience, please apply online.
