Lloyd Recruitment Services are working with a well-established, family run business in Saltdean that are currently seeking an experienced Part Time Bookkeeper.

As a Bookkeeper, you will need to have experience working within the construction industry, dealing with payroll for subcontractors.

  • Part Time Bookkeeper
  • Location: Saltdean
  • Hourly rate: £16 - £18 per hour
  • Working Hours: 20 - 24 hours per week, Monday to Friday (flexible on days)
  • Hybrid working opportunities after probation

Key Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper:

  • Overseeing daily income and expenditure transactions
  • Performing bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Preparing VAT returns and CIS monthly returns
  • Administering weekly PAYE payroll and for subcontractors
  • Managing pension contributions
  • Maintaining accurate financial records up to trial balance level and managing journal entries

Required Experience:

  • Previous experience with accounts / bookkeeping
  • Proficiency with Sage Online Accounting / Payroll or Sage 50 Accounts / Sage 50 Payroll desirable
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle financial discrepancies
