Key Responsibilities:
Leading the Quality Team:
- You’ll take on full line management responsibilities, overseeing training, performance, and task scheduling to maintain quality across all shifts. This includes providing out-of-hours support for emergencies and balancing team workloads for consistent results.
Driving Continuous Improvement:
- With a keen eye for detail, you’ll conduct regular reviews to identify trends, address non-conformances, and enhance processes, ensuring the site remains fully compliant.
- You’ll manage schedules for microbiological tests, GMP audits, glass and plastic audits, and more to ensure no detail slips through.
Ensuring Compliance:
- Compliance is critical. You’ll proactively tackle any non-compliance issues, collaborating with stakeholders to resolve them swiftly.
- Managing allergen control is also key, ensuring all products meet specific safety requirements for allergens, species, and vegan criteria.
Handling Customer Complaints:
- As the owner of the customer complaints process, you’ll lead investigations and address complaint trends, working to resolve issues quickly while protecting the brand’s reputation.
- You’ll also maintain internal audit readiness, managing records and document control in line with technical legal requirements.
Maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS):
- Overseeing the QMS and coordinating with external service providers, you’ll handle equipment calibration, record-keeping, and ensure smooth operations.
- You’ll support training initiatives and be ready to step in for the Technical Manager when needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- You bring 3-5 years’ experience in a technical role, with a solid understanding of third-party audits, including BRC and retailer standards.
- HACCP Level 4 and Food Safety Level 4 are essential, along with a strong foundation in microbiology and allergen control.
- You’re proficient in Microsoft Office, with demonstrated experience in leading and developing a team.
- Clear and effective communication is key, as you’ll work with all levels to uphold quality standards.
