Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the waste site, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Ensure full compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Manage and lead a team, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring.
- Implement and maintain waste processing and recycling procedures.
- Monitor site budgets, costs, and resources to maximise efficiency.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, local authorities, and stakeholders regarding site operations.
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of waste processing, safety incidents, and site performance.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement best practices.
- Maintain site equipment, ensuring servicing and repairs are carried out promptly.
- Manage customer relationships and ensure a high level of service.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience in waste management, recycling, or environmental services.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Knowledge of environmental legislation and compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Health & Safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are desirable.
This is a temp to perm role paying 40-45k depending on experience.
