Our Water contractor client are seeking a Senior Risk Manager to join their Brighton based Southern Water joint venture framework on a permanent basis.

They operate on a range of Water and Wastewater projects, delivering Southern Waters capital delivery programme moving into AMP8.

Key to success at both the framework and project level is effective risk management. This is the ideal time to review, refresh, upgrade and implement changes to the way their joint venture manages risk. The Senior Risk Manager will design, implement and maintain a risk management framework; one that is commensurate with an organisation of the joint ventures' size and turnover.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an enterprise risk management strategy across the joint venture
  • Ensure risk management processes and policies are fit for purpose
  • Support JV staff at all levels to implement and comply with risk management processes and policies
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. These include management from the client JV, its parent companies, Southern Water, as well as project management teams
  • Monitor compliance with risk management processes and policies
  • Develop and implement risk reporting including key risk indicators (KRIs) at project and framework level

Skills/experience/qualifications

  • Knowledge of risk management procedures, practices & techniques
  • Understanding of planning, budgeting, change control, earned value and other project controls techniques
  • Demonstrable ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good written and oral communication including delivery of high-quality reports, analysis results
  • Passion for delivering innovative and excellent client service
  • Proficient in use of MS Office suite (Word / Excel / PowerPoint)
