Job Title: Legal Cashier
Location: Brighton
Salary: 28,000 - 30,000 per annum
Role Overview:
A prestigious law firm are looking for a Legal Cashier to join their well-established finance team in Brighton. This role is ideal for someone with previous experience in legal accounting who is looking to develop their career in a supportive and professional environment. You will be an integral part of the team, ensuring smooth financial operations in compliance with legal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage client accounts, ensuring compliance with relevant rules and regulations
* Handle daily banking transactions, including processing electronic payments (CHAPS, BACs, FPS)
* Oversee payments, receipts, transfers, and manual cheques or cash banking
* Post expenses such as legal fees and travel costs
* Process Land Registry and Infotrack invoices
* Undertake general filing and administrative tasks as required
Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience working in legal accounts or as a legal cashier
* Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* A solid understanding of Solicitors Accounts Rules
* Experience with 'Indigo' software is advantageous but not essential
* Ability to start immediately, with the office based in Brighton
