We are currently recruiting on behalf of a professional services business in Brighton for a diligent and proactive Credit Controller. This role can be offered as either full-time or part-time (reduced hours over 5 days), providing flexibility to suit your schedule.
As part of a growing and busy team, the successful candidate will take on a hands-on credit control role, regularly communicating with clients via phone and email to manage payments and resolve outstanding accounts.
Key Responsibilities:- Client Communication: Proactively engage with clients to chase overdue payments and address any accounts receivable queries.
- Debt Reduction: Collaborate with internal teams to develop action plans aimed at reducing aged debt.
- Payment Processing: Accurately process payments received from clients.
- Payment Plans: Set up and manage payment plans for clients where required.
- Debt Escalation: Escalate debt recovery to legal action when necessary.
We are seeking candidates with previous experience in credit control, ideally within a finance team. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to manage your workload efficiently and prioritise tasks effectively.
Requirements:- Prior experience in credit control.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ideally, some familiarity with legal debt recovery procedures.
This is a permanent role offering a competitive salary of £25,000 - £27,000, depending on experience. The business is flexible and open to candidates seeking full-time work or part-time hours spread across 5 days, making it suitable for those with caring responsibilities.
