Credit Controller - Brighton - Full-time, Permanent - £25,000 - £27,000

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a professional services business in Brighton for a diligent and proactive Credit Controller. This role can be offered as either full-time or part-time (reduced hours over 5 days), providing flexibility to suit your schedule.

As part of a growing and busy team, the successful candidate will take on a hands-on credit control role, regularly communicating with clients via phone and email to manage payments and resolve outstanding accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Communication: Proactively engage with clients to chase overdue payments and address any accounts receivable queries.
  • Debt Reduction: Collaborate with internal teams to develop action plans aimed at reducing aged debt.
  • Payment Processing: Accurately process payments received from clients.
  • Payment Plans: Set up and manage payment plans for clients where required.
  • Debt Escalation: Escalate debt recovery to legal action when necessary.
About You:

We are seeking candidates with previous experience in credit control, ideally within a finance team. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to manage your workload efficiently and prioritise tasks effectively.

Requirements:
  • Prior experience in credit control.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ideally, some familiarity with legal debt recovery procedures.
