Service Coordinator
  • Location: Hove or Bexhill
  • Job Type: 33 hours - 3 days - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. There will also be additional to cover shifts for annual leave/sickness including weekends
  • Salary: 23,750 

We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage logistics operations, vehicle maintenance, and team supervision effectively. This role is ideal for a compassionate, adaptable, and dynamic individual who excels in customer service and has a strong background in logistics and team management.

Day to day of the role:
  • Call Handling: Take calls from hospitals, assess referrals, and coordinate crew responses.
  • Service Coordination: Allocate work for transport, resettlement, and sitting services.
  • Route Management: Plan efficient routes and ensure timely service delivery.
  • Support: Assist other services and cover gaps in service provision.
  • Customer Interaction: Treat callers with respect and obtain accurate information quickly.
  • Vehicle Management: Ensure vehicles are roadworthy, assist crews with vehicle checks, and liaise with the Fleet team for servicing.
  • Monitoring: Conduct driver practice observations and manage reports on vehicle usage.
  • Crew Supervision: Indirectly manage crew, promote morale, and ensure service focus.
  • Engagement: Ensure teams understand service goals and handle arising issues.
  • Compliance: Conduct driving observations and license checks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Essential Skills: Excellent customer service, empathy, IT literacy, communication, time management, and driving skills.
  • Desirable Skills: Problem-solving, innovation, and self-management.
  • Experience: Participation in multi-disciplinary teams, preferably in health or social care, shift work, staff management, workload planning, and working under pressure.
  • Pre-engagement Checks: Enhanced DBS check required. Full UK driving license and driver experience required.
