An established and growing accountancy firm is seeking a Corporate Tax Senior / Assistant Manager to join its dynamic corporate tax team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a range of tax services while advancing your career toward a Manager position.

Role Overview

As a Corporate Tax Senior / Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the Senior Corporate Tax Manager and collaborate with audit and accounts directors and managers. The role involves delivering specialist tax advisory services and compliance support to a diverse client portfolio, including SME business owners, high-net-worth individuals, and Finance Directors of both domestic and international companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct tax reviews of company accounts and prepare claims and elections.
  • Analyse capital allowances for property acquisitions and developments.
  • Prepare and review claims for R&D and Creative Industries tax relief.
  • Draft HMRC clearance letters and provide advice on venture capital schemes (e.g., EIS/SEIS), share reorganisations, and Employment-Related Securities.
  • Support tax-efficient profit extraction, corporate residency issues, and international tax matters.
  • Occasionally assist with company secretarial tasks, such as preparing minutes and share documentation.
Requirements

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications: ATT and/or CTA qualified, or ACA/ACCA qualified with 2-3+ years of practical tax experience.

Experience: Familiarity with corporate tax, R&D relief, and EMI schemes is desirable.

Skills: Strong IT and communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to client advisory work.

Ambition: Motivated to grow professionally and take on increasing responsibilities.
