Reed Finance is recruiting on behalf of a globally recognised organisation seeking a Financial Accounting Manager to oversee their financial accounting and reporting operations.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the production of annual financial accounts, financial reporting to key committees, and managing tax reporting and administration. The successful candidate will support in maintaining and enhancing the organisation’s key financial systems.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Oversee all financial accounting aspects of the month-end process.
  • Ensure the integrity of financial records and reporting through effective review, reconciliation processes, and a strong control environment.
  • Prepare the financial accounts for the organisation and its subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Prepare a monthly balance sheet and cash flow for the Management Information Report.
  • Maintain oversight of all balance sheet accounts, ensuring timely reconciliations and understanding of all movements/variances.
  • Update the accounting and reporting systems to efficiently address any regulatory or reporting changes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in financial reporting, gained within a large organisation.  
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience managing a diverse team.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using financial systems and collaborating with IT departments to manage system updates and user training.
