The Role

  • The Paraplanner will play a vital role in supporting Financial Advisers by delivering technical expertise throughout the client journey. This includes preparing detailed reports, conducting in-depth research, and ensuring regulatory compliance, all while keeping the client’s best interests at the centre of every recommendation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Producing suitability reports, review documents, portfolio summaries, and other client communications using industry software
  • Conducting product and market research to support advice strategies
  • Providing cashflow modelling, risk analysis, and investment comparison data
  • Collaborating with advisers to deliver bespoke financial planning solutions
  • Liaising with compliance teams to ensure accuracy and regulatory adherence
  • Supporting operational and process improvement initiatives

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented and proactive professional with a strong background in paraplanning and a passion for delivering high-quality financial solutions.
  • Key qualifications and experience:
  • CII/CISI Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent)
  • Working towards or keen to achieve Chartered status (e.g., J09, J10, R01–R06)
  • At least 4 years’ experience in a paraplanning role within wealth management or financial planning
  • Strong report writing, analytical and research skills
  • Familiarity with financial planning tools such as Intelligent Office, Genovo, and cashflow analysis software
  • Committed to maintaining CPD and professional development
