Our client is currently in need of a Billing Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire billing process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Legal Agency requirements. Your primary duties will include processing files for bill preparation, handling Legal bills, and maintaining billing-related documents. You will also liaise with experts and stakeholders to ensure precise billing.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Process files to be sent to costs draftsperson for bill preparation.
  • Handle the processing of Legal Aid bills and ensure timely submission to the Legal Aid Agency.
  • Assist with legal aid payments on account and the payment of invoices.
  • Manage the processing of bills post-assessment and prepare final cost certificates.
  • Organize and maintain billing-related documents, including filing, scanning, and archiving.
  • Liaise with experts and other stakeholders to ensure accurate billing.

Key Skills Required:

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills.
  • Good business acumen and the ability to process information efficiently.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft programs and Costs Master. Knowledge of CCMS and Leap Case Management System is an advantage.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
