We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic individual to join our secondary school in Brighton as a Cover Supervisor. This role is ideal for someone looking for hands-on experience in a supportive environment, with excellent career progression opportunities. You will lead classrooms using pre-prepared lesson plans, supervise students, and provide one-to-one support where needed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-set lesson plans provided by the subject teacher or department.
- Supervise students, ensuring that they remain on task and maintain good behavior according to the school's policy.
- Foster a positive and engaging classroom environment that encourages active student participation.
- Provide basic support and clarification to students on their classwork.
- Ensure all necessary materials and resources are ready and available for the lesson.
- Help manage the smooth flow of lessons, addressing any immediate issues or questions from students.
- Work with students individually or in small groups to support their learning needs.
- Encourage students to complete their work to the best of their ability and monitor their progress.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Essential:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
- Experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and engage groups of students effectively.
