Individual Needs Assistant Needed

We are looking for a passionate individual preferably who has experience with SEND, particularly Autism. This role will be supporting KS2 children within a Primary School in Brighton with their learning, and social and emotional well-being.

This particular school caters for a range of abilities and SEND needs, including Moderate Learning Difficulties; Global, Developmental Delay; Autism Spectrum Conditions; Specific Learning Difficulties; Speech, Language and Communication Disorder; gross and fine motor difficulties and moderate visual impairment and moderate hearing impairment.

About you:

  • Be patient, adaptable and resilient

  • Experienced working with SEND; Autism, or be passionate about learning how to do so

  • Understanding of Non-verbal and Speech and Language difficulties (preferable)

  • Willingness to learn

  • Be reliable

  • Be passionate about supporting children with SEND, or Children in general

  • Be proactive

  • Can previously be a Support Worker / Carer

  • Personal experience with SEND / Challenging behaviour
