The Senior Desktop Engineer is part of the IT Desktop Team within the Digital Data and Technology Directorate.
As part of the Desktop team, you will be resolving IT security vulnerabilities on endpoints.
Primary focus areas will include:
- Remediate IT security vulnerabilities on 1100+ endpoints by applying missing patches.
- Create, automate and schedule update packages for applications.
- Amend and create policy settings to remediate security vulnerabilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Qualys/SCCM/Intune
- Responsible for the IT security vulnerabilities remediation
- Apply and automate patches for non-Microsoft applications in Qualys where possible
- Troubleshoot and find fixes for more complex vulnerabilities
- Amend group policies, apply registry fixes, create scripts in Intune
- Maintain patching documentation
- Meeting agreed SLAs for assigned work
Skills:
- Extensive experience of Qualys, SCCM and Intune, specifically patching
- Strong patching experience with Active Directory and Group Policies
- Solid experience of Intune, specifically configuration profiles and application deployment
- Extensive hands-on experience of supporting Windows 10 and O365 in an enterprise environment
- Good working knowledge of Lenovo hardware
Desirable
- ITIL V3/V4 Foundation certified with experience of working within OSA, SLA & Change Control
- Service Now experience
