A Day in the Life of a CPN:

Join our team as a Band 7 Community Psychiatric Nurse working within a specialist Drug & Alcohol Team, where your leadership will directly impact service delivery and patient outcomes. Your core responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing a multi-disciplinary team supporting individuals with substance misuse issues

  • Running clinics and delivering specialist interventions for drug and alcohol dependency

  • Conducting assessments, developing care plans, and overseeing safe prescribing pathways

  • Supervising junior staff and providing clinical guidance

  • Collaborating with wider services to ensure coordinated care

  • Maintaining accurate and compliant documentation

Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Current and valid NMC registration and PIN

  • Experience working in substance misuse or drug & alcohol services

  • Proven ability to manage and lead a team confidently

  • Excellent clinical decision-making and leadership skills

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

  • Possibility for some hybrid working

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The contract is for 3 months ongoing, with strong potential for extension depending on service needs and performance.
