They are looking to expand their team in Brighton and are seeking a UK Head of Trading to join them on a full time basis. You will be responsible for driving market trading and customer acquisition to achieve financial goals and manage inventory effectively.

The Requirements:

  • Technical Skills: Intermediate+ Excel, Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint), Business Objects/Power BI, SAP 4 Hana/BEX (preferred), basic GA4.
  • Experience: 6+ years in Commercial Trading or similar roles; proven leadership and deputising experience; preferable management of UK Stores/E-commerce.

The Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and manage market trading and customer acquisition across multiple channels to meet financial and customer objectives, ensuring the delivery of annual KPIs.
  • Proactively manage the discontinuation and minimisation of aged stock, along with the clearance of excess inventory.
  • Lead the Weekly Trading meeting and actively drive commercial participation in other business meetings.
  • Support, drive, and challenge the re-forecasting of all channels in collaboration with Finance and Digital teams.
  • Own and execute the Omnichannel Trading Plan, identifying opportunities and risks to KPIs.
  • Proactively identify Omnichannel EBIT risks and opportunities throughout the business.
  • Evaluate promotion and discount strategies regarding their impact on customer profitability, flagging any conflicts between long- and short-term objectives.
  • Assess performance based on new versus existing customers, aligning insights with product and category trends.
  • Oversee business development initiatives, including B2B opportunities such as gift cards.
