We are seeking an inspirational Head of Food Technology to join a lovely secondary school based in Brighton. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated educator who is passionate about delivering exceptional education and achieving the best possible outcomes for students.
Day-to-day of the role:- Leading the Food Technology department
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Food Technology, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Continuously assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the department to enhance the curriculum and share best practices.
- Participate in the school’s commitment to teacher-led action research and professional development.
- Contribute to the school’s enrichment and extra-curricular activities, inspiring and enthusing pupils.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students.
- Excellent subject knowledge in Food Technology.
- Proven track record of positive impact on student outcomes.
- Experience in delivering high-quality teaching in Food Technology.
- Creativity, enthusiasm, and resilience in teaching.
- High expectations of all students and a commitment to high standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) or more experienced teachers.
