Reed HR is collaborating with a growing manufacturing company in Worthing to find an experienced HR Assistant for their close-knit team. Reporting to the Office & HR Manager, you will support the efficient operation of the office with a primary focus on HR, playing a key role in developing the HR department. This standalone role, with management support, involves managing all HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and policy development.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with implementing HCM/HRIS
- Oversee the employee lifecycle, including onboarding and offboarding
- Update, develop, and implement policies and procedures
- Provide administrative support, including paperwork preparation
- Assist with all aspects of the recruitment process, including writing job specifications and supporting interviews
- Generate regular reports and presentations on HR metrics
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices
Requirements:
- Minimum two years’ experience in an HR role (essential)
- CIPD qualification or working towards (desirable)
- Genuine interest in HR and making a positive contribution to both the team and the company
- High level of discretion and confidentiality
- Proficient in Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluent in English
- Task-focused, diligent, and organised
